The more time Izzo has taken and the more information he’s gathered, the better it likely is for MSU. He has to be learning how fractured it could be in Cleveland.

After spending at least nine hours in Cleveland meeting with the Cavaliers and their owner, MSU alumnus Dan Gilbert, a weary-looking Izzo returned to Lansing late Thursday night with no news and no timetable for when he’ll make up his mind.

“I don’t care if (Izzo) has LeBron James, he’s going to get fired in the NBA,” Vitale says. “A guy (Cavaliers coach Mike Brown) goes (61-21) and he gets fired.”

According to a report on ESPN.com, the Cleveland Cavaliers have made a formal offer to Michigan State’s Tom Izzo to become their coach.
