Monday was the first day of practice for Michigan State’s football team, and it didn’t take much effort to find one of the most anticipated newcomers.

In response to a Freedom of Information Act request by The News, MSU released a 225-page report Wednesday about a Nov. 22 assault on campus that involved members of the football team.

Drake Wilkins told The Detroit News he was "on the streets" looking for Winston in Detroit and planned to go to his house. Winston was kicked off MSU's football team on Tuesday.

Coach Mark Dantonio did not say whether the dismissals are related to the alleged assaults. Athletics director Mark Hollis declined to elaborate.

It was not immediately known if MSU's decision to kick those players off the team was in any way related to the fight that took place at Rather Hall on MSU's campus Sunday.
