Lubbock, Texas — Texas Tech coach Mike Leach was suspended Monday while the school investigates complaints from a player and his family about treatment after an injury.

Izzo praised Dantonio for the dismissal and suspension of a total of 14 players (including the nine charged) for the Jan. 2 Alamo Bowl after news broke about an alleged Nov. 22 assault inside the Rather Hall dormitory on MSU's campus.

George Perles, the Michigan State trustee and former football coach, is confident the university will properly handle the investigation into alleged assaults on MSU's campus.

Coach Mark Dantonio did not say whether the dismissals are related to the alleged assaults. Athletics director Mark Hollis declined to elaborate.
